Education
*Maintaining funding for Education to our Towns and Cities is crucial for communities to survive and for teachers and children to succeed.

Safety
There must be efforts and legislation to keep citizens safe at all times. This includes maintaining a ban on bump stock for guns while keeping our uniformed men and women protected at all times.

Environment

There must be a balance for proper development that does not encroach or destroy neighborhoods, natural resources of land and water and inland wetland protection to be prepared for climate change and sustainable energy sources that can save this generation and protect the next generation.

Labor

Our Labor workforce is the backbone of our employment system in Connecticut. Our people deserve to be treated and represented by collective bargaining units. This means a commitment to following fair and equitable wages, proper and sustained pension programs, safe working environments, equal treatment for all, and upholding protection of worker rights and job protection. This is an area that needs a stronger voice for the people of our state.

Healthcare

Affordable healthcare for all must be supported throughout all towns and this means state collaboration and equal distribution to all people.

Taxes

*We need to look at the tax structure in our state and target the large numbers of what we are taxing and why. This includes starting with our car tax. A reduction or elimination in the car tax for Connecticut residents would be a positive start.

*A reduction in vital services that residents need to survive such as food and clothing should have the taxes on these reduced immediately.

*A reduction in the sales tax needs review to stimulate retail growth.

To summarize: The intent of influence over zoning applications could come into question when a resident sues the town, then settles or drops the lawsuit and what this could mean for future applications and the decision process.
